Comfortable shoes for arthritic feet
I need to buy rocker bottom shoes now to divert impact from the balls of my feet and hence the knuckle joint of my left big toe, because of osteoarthritis. This is the first shoe of that type that I've found which doesn't cost a fortune, and which does the job. I read the reviews and deduced that I may need to buy a size smaller than I usually do. So I bought a 5.5 compared with my usual 6 and it fits very nicely. The top of the shoe does press on the knuckle joint ever so slightly where it crosses over the top of my foot, but but that's a personal failing rather than a genuine complaint, as I don't have the problem on my right foot, and that side doesn't cause any problems. I've worn the shoes straight away, and all day, and they are very comfortable.
Style-wise, although none of the rocker bottom shoes are really for the fashion conscious, this one is not too bad at all - I can pretty much wear it with anything except eveningwear, and still look OK. However hopefully in...
