but so disappointed that I had to share my experience
Bought elsewhere (official DM store), but so disappointed that I had to share my experience. I thought they were ok when they first arrived - basic look, not as attractive as I'd hoped, and def not worth £50. But I'd paid £50 because I trusted the DM brand and trusted that I'd bought a pair of shoes which would last.
They were uncomfortable to break in (to be expected with boots of course, but I was surprised for a canvas plimsole); once again, I interpreted this as a price worth paying for quality that would last. Sadly, I hated the laces, which seem to consistently untie themselves every 30 mins of so.
6 months later, after occasional light use, these shoes are unusable: the soles are still going strong, but the canvas uppers are in bits. Replaced them today with a pair of £20 Wranglers: I don't expect these to last long but, out of the box, they already look and feel better than these DMs ever did.
