Unfortunately Poor Quality
This was my second pair of Hi-Tec hiking boots. My first pair were excellent so I decided to go with the same brand again. However this particular boot was poorly made. Perhaps it was just this one pair, but these boots are terrible quality. After just a few weeks one of the lace holders broke off the right boot. The left boot has some sort of gap somewhere because it's not waterproof. Lastly, 2 days ago another lace holder has broken off the right boot again. This is unacceptable from any kind of hiking boot. The lace holders should be the last thing to ever break.
To explain my use of the boots: I use them mainly for work in a cave, and also for hiking. I wear them a couple times a week. The problems with the boots were caused by kneeling down and bending the boot a little. This is a normal stress for a hiking boot, and shouldn't be enough to cause the breakages I've mentioned above.
So I'm giving 1 star because of unacceptable quality. The look of...
